A DRUG dealer who spat out eight wraps of heroin when he was caught red-handed by the police has been jailed for three years.

Qamar Rashid, 33, (pictured) was also selling crack cocaine from a grey Ford Focus car in Wrose, Shipley, at 10.45am on June 22, Bradford Crown Court heard today.

Rashid, of Pollard Lane, Undercliffe, Bradford, was netting £100 a day to pay off a £20,000 drug debt run up by a member of his family, prosecutor Alisha Kaye said.

He told police the car had been hired for him and the drugs provided for him to sell on.

He had been dealing for a month and was helping to bag up the drugs.

Rashid pleaded guilty to possession of heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply.

While on bail for drug dealing, he butted his former partner, Nicole Metcalfe, in the street, between July 14 and August 15.

He admitted causing her actual bodily harm and then robbing her of her handbag and keys after chasing after her when she fled from a cab on September 6.
