THE jury in the case of four men accused of conspiracy to rape is considering its verdicts.

The panel retired to begin its deliberations shortly before the lunch adjournment at , at Bradford Crown Court after Judge Jonathan Durham Hall QC completed his summing up of the case.

Trainee mechanic Wakar Akhtar, 21, of Hudson Avenue, Canterbury, Bradford; pizza chef Najeem Ul-Saeed, 31, of Beaumont Road, Girlington; cab driver Tamseel Virk, 42, of Marten Road, Canterbury; and Azad Raja, 38, of Hudson Avenue, have all pleaded not guilty to conspiracy to rape a woman school teacher in the early hours of May 26.

The prosecution alleges Ul-Saeed instructed Virk to drive the drunk woman in his private hire vehicle to Great Horton Park where Akhtar and his uncle Raja took turns to have sex with her on a bench.
