THE next generation of media stars got an eye opening look at what goes into making some of the nation's most popular children's shows at an event at the National Media Museum.
The BAFTA Kids: Behind the Scenes roadshow stopped off in the museum on Saturday, with CBBC presenters Ben Shires and Katie Thistleton hosting.
They were joined by the star of CBBC drama Wolfblood, Shorelle Hepkin, and the show's director, Jermain Julien, as well as Chris Tichborne the animation director of Strangehill High, animated with puppets.
The road shows are being held in a build up to this Sunday's children's BAFTAS.
On Saturday around 40 youngsters took part in the event, which mixed workshops with talks about how their favourite shows are made.
Mr Shires said: "We discussed things like what goes into being a director, how to approach shooting certain scenes and how people can bring their vision to life, which is something you don't often get to see as an audience.
"You get to experience events like this in London, but we wanted to bring this to people's doorsteps and give them a look behind the scenes."
Miss Thistleton praised the Media Museum adding: "This is my favourite of the venues we've done so far."
