TWO hooded robbers ransacked a 95-year-old woman's home, before pinning her down and snatching jewellery from her arms.

The incident happened yesterday afternoon when the men entered the house in Toller Park, Heaton.

After making what police describe as an "untidy search" of the property, they entered the living room and found the elderly woman. They restrained her while removing the jewellery. The woman was not seriously injured, but suffered reddening to one of her arms where the men had grasped at the jewellery.

The men then left through a rear door.

Police have now appealed to the public to help find the thugs responsible.

The suspects were about 5ft 8ins tall, slim and are thought to be in their late teens or early 20s. Both men had their faces covered by hoods and were wearing gloves. The incident happened between 3pm and 3.45pm.

Detective Sergeant Craig McKay, of Bradford District CID, said: "We are appealing for anyone who might have seen any suspicious activity in the Toller Park area in the time leading up to, or shortly after this incident.

"Anyone with information is asked to contact DC Milburn at Bradford District CID on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111."
