FIREFIGHTERS have spent the night tackling a blaze at a household waste recycling centre near Queensbury.
Crews from Odsal, Brighouse, Halifax, and Illingworth, were called to the waste transfer station on Swales Moor Road shortly after 6pm yesterday.
The site, owned by Envirowaste Services Ltd, part of the Leo Group, had 800 tonnes of household waste inside and about 20 per cent of the building was involved in the fire.
The blaze was fully out by 7.50am today.
