TRY out a selection of Bradford bangers at a sausage tasting event in the city on Friday.

Oastler Market, John Street, will mark National Sausage Week with a selection of ten varieties of bangers up for grabs.

These sausages have been donated by butchers at the market and will be available to the public between 11.30am and 2.30pm.

Sausages on offer include pork, Cumberland and Halal.

Jamie’s Ministry of Food Bradford will be demonstrating how to cook sausage-based meals using fresh produce from a variety of stalls within the Oastler Shopping Centre.

Mascot, Mrs Pig, will be giving out the samples at the event.

Diana Greenwood, promotions officer for markets at Bradford Council said: “It will showcase their products.

"I would urge people to come along and try different varieties of sausages that are all locally produced and sourced.

"We have been doing this event for the last four years."

Meanwhile, Saltaire Local Produce Market will also have sausages up for grabs on Saturday, on Exhibition Road between 10am and 3pm.

Bobby’s Bangers will be giving people the opportunity to try their traditionally made sausages for free and buy some of their produce.

National Sausage Week, organised by lovepork.co.uk, runs until Sunday.
