A COLLECTION of hunting photographs designed to get people talking has gone on display in Bradford.

The exhibition, called Hunters - David Chancellor, is running at the Impression Gallery in Centenary Square.

It features around 40 of Mr Chancellor's works, including photographs of wild animals that have been hunted and hunters' trophy rooms.

Exhibition co-organiser Pippa Oldfield said: "It's the first major solo show that he has done in the UK and he has been working on the project for the last six years.

"Hunting is a subject that does evoke emotions. The photos themselves are very striking. Most people come into the gallery feeling one way and can have their views changed by what they see.

"We want to feature photography that gets people thinking, looking and talking."

Daniel Brockington, professor of conservation and development at The University of Manchester, will host an open discussion of the legality of hunting at the Gallery tomorrow from 12.30pm to 1.30pm.

Mr Chancellor will be at the Impressions Gallery on Saturday, November 22 between 2pm and 3pm to give a talk on his work.

The free exhibition runs until Saturday, December 6. The gallery is open Tuesday to Thursday, from 10am until 6pm and Fridays and Saturdays, from 10am until 5pm.
