Birthday gift for charity
A WOMAN has raised £200 for Macmillan Cancer Support by asking for donations instead of gifts at her 90th birthday party.
Joyce Weatherall, of Cliffe Crescent, Riddlesden, celebrated the milestone with a party at Pilky’s Sports Club Bar and Function Room, in Heber Street, which was attended by more than 60 relatives.
Mrs Weatherall was following her husband, Desmond, who held his own 90th birthday last year in aid of Yorkshire Cancer Research.
