THE trial date of a 34-year-old man accused of murder and attempted murder has been set.
Grzegorz Dzierzak, of Chapel Lane, Keighley, is accused of murdering Edgaras Masliuskas, 23, at his home early on Sunday and attempting to murder a second man, also aged 23.
Dzierzak appeared via video link from Leeds Prison for the 10-minute hearing and spoke only to confirm his name and spoke via a Polish interpreter.
No indication of plea was given at yesterday’s hearing at Bradford Crown Court.
He was remanded in custody and will next appear before the court on January 19 next year for a plea and case management hearing.
Dzierzak’s trial date was set for April 15, 2015, also to be held at Bradford Crown Court.
The second man’s condition is described as serious but improving.
