NAZARENE Church is celebrating 80 years in Keighley.

Two services marking the milestone will be held at the Oakworth Road church on Sunday.

There will be an 11am family service and a 6.30pm event, at which former minister the Rev David Thirkell will be speaker.

He and his wife Jean are making the trip specially, from their Devon home, to be there.

Everyone is welcome.

The church was formed as the International Holiness Mission and first met in Keighley’s Temperance Hall.

After moves to various sites the mission, which became part of the Church of the Nazarene in the early 1950s, bought its current building in 1962.
