A HEAD TEACHER hopes the words of a former children’s laureate will inspire her pupils to put pen to paper.
Helen Williams (pictured), of Ilkley Grammar School, was speaking after poet, broadcaster and scriptwriter Michael Rosen performed his entertaining show at the Ilkley Literature Festival.
The school sponsored Rosen’s performance held at the King’s Hall.
Ms Williams said: “The students are always interested in visiting authors and hopefully some of them have been inspired to put pen to paper themselves.”
