SIX students in the Worth Valley have benefited from a grant scheme set up more than 100 years ago.
The Haworth Exhibition Trust has made six grants of up to £125 to local students.
Spokesman Tony Maw said: “This is a means of offsetting some of the costs of further and higher education.
“The successful applicants intend to use the money as a contribution to the cost of books.
“The trust, which is an old established one, exists to help young people going to university or other further educational institutions, provided they live in Haworth, Oxenhope or Stanbury.”
