A DAD suffered a broken jaw in an unprovoked attack after Bradford City's home game with Sheffield United on Saturday.

The 44-year-old man had been walking along Midland Road with his two sons at about 6.45pm when the incident happened - he was punched in the face and knocked to the ground.

Detective Inspector Ryan Bragg, of Bradford District CID, said: "This appears to be a totally unprovoked attack on a man who was walking home from the match with his two sons.

"There would have been lots of people about at the time, and I would urge anyone who witnessed this assault to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111."

Police have now revealed there were three arrests after Saturday's match. Two were Sheffield United supporters, one of whom was arrested on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly and the other on suspicion of a public order offence.

One Bradford City fan was arrested on suspicion of affray.
