A 43-YEAR-OLD man smashed up a porch door at the former family home to take revenge on his ex-wife, Bradford Crown Court heard yesterday.
Kevin Clayton attacked the property in Ethel Street, Sutton-in-Craven, near Keighley, after receiving a court order connected to legal proceedings, prosecutor Emma Downing said.
Clayton pleaded guilty to causing £1,158 worth of criminal damage on April 27.
His lawyer, Ash Mahmood, said his client was now living in rented accommodation elsewhere.
Clayton was sentenced to a 12 month community order with 80 hours of unpaid work.
Recorder Richard Wright QC ordered him to pay full compensation for the damage and he made a restraining order barring him from contacting his former wife.
