Leaders from across the city region will set out its potential to investors and highlight the growth opportunities to key property investment decision makers attending the conference who are looking to close deals in the UK

The Leeds City Region delegation at MIPIM UK, the premier forum for property professionals looking to close deals in the UK market, will demonstrate to potential investors that the City Region is investment ready and driving sustainable growth.

In addition to senior council officials, the Leeds city region delegation has the largest private sector representation.

Richard Threlfall, head of UK infrastructure, building and construction at KPMG, said: “Together our Northern city regions are a £200 billion economy, a society of 11.6 million people, equating to 18 per cent of the UK population.

"For too long they have competed more than they have collaborated but that is changing and as our political and business leaders work together, so this economic powerhouse will start to stir.

"I am excited about the potential of the region and believe that devolution and greater investment in infrastructure will create fertile ground to grow the combined economy. ”

Roger Marsh, chairman of Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership, said: “MIPIM UK is a prime opportunity for Leeds City Region to highlight its varied and extensive investment potential to a private sector audience."
