Five people have pleaded guilty to offences arising from a disturbance outside a Bradford city centre club, in which several people suffered stab wounds.

The prosecution accepted the guilty pleas to a range of offences by four men and a woman at Bradford Crown Court yesterday.

But four other defendants will face trial in November after pleading not guilty.

The charges related to an incident in Sackville Street during the early hours of Bank Holiday Monday, May 26 this year. Three people suffered stab wounds, none of them life-threatening, during the disturbance.

Yesterday nine people appeared in court to face a total of ten charges.

Molly Moulden, 19, of Fallowfield Close, Bierley, Bradford; Tyrone Bailey, 27, of Brae Avenue, Bolton, Bradford; Jozeffi Jeffers, 18, of Roman Place, Roundhay, Leeds; Dwight Halliday, 28, of Louis Street, Chapeltown, Leeds; and Marcus Kaye, 20, of North Carr, Dalton, Huddersfield, all pleaded guilty to violent disorder.

Jeffers also pleaded guilty to wounding Rorrie Campbell with intent; having an article with a blade or point in Sackville Street and Westgate; and robbing Adam Hussain of a black Armani bag containing £1,500 cash.

Kaye pleaded guilty to inflicting grievous bodily harm on Adam Hussain.

Jahbari Blair, 18, of Rookwood Vale, Osmondthorpe, Leeds, pleaded not guilty to wounding Rorrie Campbell with intent; attempting to wound Jahoel McIntosh with intent; inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent on Adam Hussain; and wounding Zeeshan Hussain with intent.

A 17-year-old youth from Bradford Moor, Bradford, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, denied charges of wounding Rian Anwar with intent, and violent disorder.

Ryan Carpenter, 21, of Leopold Street, Chapeltown, pleaded not guilty to wounding Rian Anwar with intent.

Levon Halliday, 31, of Reginald Street, Chapeltown, denied charges of assault causing actual bodily harm to Rian Anwar, and violent disorder.

Prosecutor Glenn Parsons said the pleas of Bailey, Moulden, Jeffers, Kaye, and Dwight Halliday were acceptable, but the four other defendants would face a week-long trial on November 24.

The Recorder of Bradford, Judge Roger Thomas QC, said those who had pleaded guilty would be sentenced following the trial of their co-accused. He agreed to the preparation of pre-sentence reports.

He granted conditional bail to Bailey, Moulden, and the 17-year-old youth. The other defendants were remanded in custody.
