A WOMAN was taken to hospital after a Vauxhall Astra she was driving crashed into a house in Cote Lane, Allerton, Bradford, early today .

Firefighters from Fairweather Green and Shipley stations helped to free the woman.

A spokesman for Fairweather Green station said foggy conditions could possibly be the reason for the crash which happened at the junction of Cote Lane and Allerton Road at 3.20am, and added: "The car was wedged part way into the wall."

The woman, believed to be aged 26, was taken to hospital by ambulance for a check-up.
