A 29-YEAR-OLD man has been sentenced to a suspended jail term for his role in a disturbance at a pub in Keighley.
Scott Bellamy, of Clough Fold, Keighley, pleaded guilty to affray at The Albert Hotel in Bridge Street on August 24 last year.
Bradford Crown Court heard yesterday that Bellamy had been in no trouble for a decade before the offence.
His barrister, Stephen Wood, said he was "a hard working, committed, family man."
He had suffered provocation that night and had kept out of trouble since.
Recorder Sandra Knapton said it was "alcohol-fuelled" disorder inside and outside the pub.
She sentenced Bellamy to eight months imprisonment, suspended for 18 months, with 150 hours of unpaid work.
He must complete an activity requirement with the probation service and pay £100 costs.
