Overheated spotlight sparks house fire
A COUPLE returned to their house in Keighley yesterday to find a spotlight had overheated and set alight. Firefighters from Keighley and Bingley stations were called to a property on Bracken Bank Grove at about 7.30pm. A spokesman said a light fitting in the kitchen ceiling had set alight, sparking a small fire in the void between the kitchen and a bedroom. He added that some timbers in the void suffered charring.
