A NUMBER of high value items of jewellery, believed to have been taken during recent burglaries, have been recovered by police.

The haul was found by officers after a Kirklees burglary, but it is thought they may have been taken from other burglaries across Kirklees and Bradford.

They were found in a Volkswagen Passat on August 29 in the Kirklees area,

Police have now released images of the items, which include rings and high value watches, to help find their owners.

Police Constable Richard Shires, from the Kirklees Burglary Team, said: "Being the victim of a burglary is an awful experience and I would like to try and mitigate that slightly by getting these items back to their rightful owners.’"

Anyone who recognes the items is asked to contact PC Shires at Kirklees Burglary Team 3, via the 101 non emergency number.
