A DEBATE around the so-called Trojan Horse schools controversy is to be hosted by Bradford Muslim Women’s Council.

The organisation, through its Bradford Circle initiative, will be holding a discussion event about the scandal and its implications for Bradford.

The event, called 'Trojan Horse: A Muslim witch-hunt?', will be held on Thursday, September 11 at the Midland Hotel from 6pm to 8pm.

Speakers will include imam and broadcaster Ajmal Masroor and Bradford Councillor Faisal Khan (Ind, Bradford Moor).

Bana Gora (pictured), chief executive of Muslim Women’s Council, said: "The Trojan Horse scandal has been played out in the mainstream media.

"We strongly urge individuals to attend and share their views regardless of what side of the fence they sit on.

"We see a positive way forward through open transparent debate and discussion; come and join us."

The event is free to attend but places must be booked by e-mailing directorsoffice@muslimwomenscouncil.org.uk or phoning (01274) 223230.
