AN ARMED gang who attacked one of their victims during a gunpoint robbery on a Bradford street are being hunted by police after getting away with a large amount of cash.

Officers have warned the public should not approach anyone they believe to have been involved in the hold up, which happened on Buck Street, off Leeds Road, around 2.30pm.

It is understood around £50,000 was taken, though investigators have confirmed only that a large sum was involved.

Two male victims were confronted by a gang of five offenders, including one who used what is thought to have been a handgun to threaten them.

During the confrontation one of the victims was assaulted by the man holding the gun, though his injuries were not serious enough to need hospital treatment.

The offenders were all described as being Asian, with two of them bearded.

They escaped in a black Honda Civic car and a police helicopter was used to help search for the vehicle.

Detective Sergeant Rob Worley from Bradford CID said: "We would encourage anyone who may see these men not to approach them.

"We are now actively searching for this group and this car and want anyone who may have any information to contact me on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
