YOUNG people are taking part in a show about love and friendship to raise awareness of teenage mental health issues.
The show, called Love, Friendship and Source, will be performed by 120 students from the Barbara Mann Dance Academy and Theatre School.
"It will be a showcase of their talents and the theme is how friendship blossoms through kindness and respect for each other," said principal Barbara Mann. "We have some original pieces of music and interesting mixes of music.
"We are raising awareness of teenage mental health problems which affect so many young people today. It's often referred to as 'their age' or 'a phase' but sometimes things run much deeper than that.
"The proceeds are going to a Yorkshire charity helping parents and young people, which tackles areas such as bullying, depression, bereavement, low self-esteem, anger, stress and self-harm."
The show runs at St George's Hall from Tuesday, September 2, to Thursday, September 4. For tickets, call the box office on (01274) 432000.
