BRIGHOUSE residents are invited to help spruce up the town's cemetery at an event on Saturday.
Calderdale Council staff will take part in a tidy-up at the cemetery between 10am and 2pm, and have invited volunteers to help.
Shrubs and weeds around the grounds have had a growth spurt during the summer months, so some of the help required will involve weeding and pruning plants around memorials. Other jobs include litter-picking, general tidying and the brushing of memorials.
Volunteers will need to wear strong, comfortable boots or shoes and gloves.
This event follows other successful clean-up days at Rastrick Cemetery, and previous events at Brighouse.
To attend, contact Mags Bryson on mags.bryson@calderdale.gov.uk or call 01422 288017.
