A 32-YEAR-OLD woman has been fined £100 for racially abusing a police officer in the street during a domestic incident.

Emma Channon, of High Street, Thornton, Bradford, had been drinking when she hurled insults at the officer on August 9, Bradford and Keighley Magistrates Court was told today.

Channon pleaded guilty to racially aggravated harassment in Thornton at 9am, when there were children about, prosecutor Suzanne Paige said.

She was of previous good character and apologised to the court for her behaviour.

The domestic incident involved a friend she feared had been stabbed by her partner, she told the court.

Channon was told to pay £85 prosecution costs.
