A THREE-MONTH old German Shepherd puppy has been reunited with its rightful owner thanks to a successful appeal in yesterday's Telegraph & Argus.

The dog, Tiger, was stolen from shop manager Carl Weatherill, 24, when thieves jumped over a security fence and snatched it from a carpet warehouse at Pamma Rugs, off Manchester Road, West Bowling, last Tuesday.

Mr Weatherill said he had received a "massive response" and show of support from dog-selling sites around Bradford and on Facebook, but it was only after seeing the T&A article that someone came forward yesterday afternoon.

"I got a phonecall from someone who had seen the appeal in the paper saying they had bought a dog last Wednesday that looked like mine," he said.

"I sent them a video and they replied saying yes, it was my dog.

"Within an hour they had brought him back, and although I'll be taking him to the vet for a check-up, he seems fit and healthy.

"It's been a fantastic reaction to the appeal, and I'm absolutely over the moon that he's been returned.

"There were lots of tears when we lost him, but they will now be tears of joy, thanks to the T&A."
