DETECTIVES hunting for a violent Bradford prisoner who absconded from an open jail say he is still on the run.
Ian Stirzaker, 35, who was serving a seven-and-a-half year sentence for beating a vulnerable man unconscious in Undercliffe, Bradford, failed to return to HMP Hatfield in Doncaster, on Sunday, August 10, after being allowed out on day release.
Officers believe he may head back to Bradford.
But South Yorkshire Police said today that Stirzaker has not yet been captured.
He is white, 5ft 8ins, with brown hair. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, black jogging bottoms and white trainers.
Anyone who sees him should call South Yorkshire Police on 101.
