THE Gilstead Craft Club has presented one of its members with an unusual leaving present as she prepares to move from Bingley to New Zealand.

Sarah Haran, 39, a graphic designer in Leeds, her husband Stephen 40, a procurement officer, and sons Noah five, and Eli three, leave tomorrow for Wellington, New Zealand, where Mr Haran has a job with the Inland Revenue.

And other members of the craft club presented Mrs Haran with a specially-made quilt as a reminder of her Friday evenings spent learning new skills. The quilt was designed by the ladies under supervision of Alison Hardwick, of Divine Daisy.

"We all wish Sarah and her family the very best in their new life and hope the quilt will always remind her of happy time spent here," said one of the club's founder members, Jill Gill.

Gilstead Craft club meets each Friday at St Wilfrid's church hall in Gilstead between 7pm and 9pm.
