TRAVELLERS who moved on to a playing field in Low Moor, Bradford, and disrupted a football club's preparations for the new season, have been moved on.
Caravans arrived on the pitch at Wesley Place Field, Fifth Street, on Thursday evening and overnight into Friday.
The Junction Inn's football team was forced to rearrange a training session and were worried the travellers would still be there when the club's Sunday league season kicks off on August 24.
But the travellers - complete with cars, vans and caravans - moved off the site on Saturday evening.
A police spokesman said: "They were issued with a Section 62 notice on Friday evening, which gave them a period of 24 hours to move on. Police attended on Saturday morning and the travellers were still present so dialogue was ongoing."
