YOUNGSTERS from Bradford have been urged to have their say over issues to debate at an annual event at the House of Commons.

The Make Your Mark ballot, announced this week by the UK Youth Parliament, will give young people their choice of what issues they wish to highlight for debate at a UK Youth Parliament event on November 14.

The ten topics on this year's ballot include voting at 16, exam resits in maths and English and getting young people involved in making laws.

The ballot will decide which five of the topics will be debated in the Chamber by elected Members of the Youth Parliament.

It will be chaired by Speaker of the House of Commons John Bercow, recorded in Hansard and broadcast live on BBC Parliament.

The deadline for voting is October 10.
