A DAUGHTER is getting help from her friends to walk in memory of her mum in aid of Bradford's Marie Curie Hospice.

Linda Moore and her pals will be among the walkers taking part in Marie Curie’s Walk Ten at Harewood House on Saturday, August 23.

Walk Ten is part of a series of 10k walks and celebrations which will take place at 19 stunning venues throughout the UK this summer in support of Marie Curie.

Anyone taking part in the Harewood walk gets exclusive access to the grounds for the evening.

Mrs Moore's mum, Celia, attended day therapy at the Marie Curie hospice in Bradford and was cared for by Marie Curie nurses at home before she died in March.

The festival-like event starts at 5.30pm and after the walk families can tuck into their picnics and enjoy live music and fire performances.

Registration costs £10 per person with under 16s free and everyone who takes part is encouraged to raise as much sponsorship as possible to keep up the charity's work supporting patients and their families.
