YOUNG people have come face-to-face with some of nature's not so cuddly creatures.
As part of a summer reading challenge, with a Mythical Maze theme, Bradford libraries in the district have been holding special Zoo Labs, inviting children to meet reptiles and creepy crawlies.
The events started on Monday with visits to Laisterdyke and St Augustine libraries. Similar events are planned during the holidays including one at Addingham library today.
Local libraries are also being visited by Eirenne, the Greek Goddess of Peace, over the summer holidays, who will be telling tales of Ancient Greek monsters like the vile, snake-headed Gorgons.
