BRADFORD Bulls player and Heart Research UK ambassador Adrian Purtell took up a charity challenge from a fundraiser aged just six.
Amber Buckle is Heart Research UK's youngest fundraiser and she has generated £600 for the Yorkshire-based charity in the last two years.
She challenged Adrian, who became an ambassador after recovering from a heart attack two years ago, to a showdown on the race track and pipped him at the post to raise £214.
Amber is no stranger to tough challenges, however, and completed the Yorkshire Peaks last year.
She said: said: "I loved racing Adrian, we can do more things together now to raise money for Heart Research UK. I really liked having all my friends with me having fun and raising money."
