A BOY who was badly hurt in an accident at Keighley's North Beck remains critically ill in hospital.
The eight-year-old was injured on July 27 after being pulled from the water at Tinker Bridge, off North Dean Road.
It is believed he hit his head when he fell into the water and was unconscious beneath the surface for about five minutes.
Nearby residents were alerted by a group of children and a firefighter pulled the boy out of the beck following a search.
Since the accident, the emergency services have urged people to steer clear of playing in rivers, lakes and canals.
