A WOMAN who died when her car collided with a van in Drighlington has been named by police.

Kellie Marie Robertshaw, 28, of Heckmondwike, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which happened on Field Head Lane on Friday at about 11pm.

She was travelling in her black Vauxhall Astra towards Bradford when it collided with a white Peugeot Bipper van.

The 63-year-old man driving the van has been released from hospital after being treated for serious injuries.

Police want anyone who saw either vehicle in the lead-up to the crash to contact them.

Detective Sergeant Carole Greaves, of the Major Collision Enquiry Team, said: "Although enquiries are still in their early stages, we believe the Astra might have misjudged a bend which led to it being in collision with the Bipper."

Any witnesses are asked to contact Detective Constable Noel Lowdon at the Major Collision Enquiry Team on 101.
