PRO-Palestinian demonstrators urged people to boycott Tesco and McDonald’s during protests in Bradford this evening.

They were asking people to support them in calling for the two stores to stop selling Israeli produce.

About 30 men, women and children gathered outside Tesco Express on Otley Road, Undercliffe, between 5pm and 11pm with banners and leaflets denouncing Israel and the supermarket giant.

One of the demonstrators, Ali Hussain, said some people were listening to the protests and using the nearby Costcutters store instead.

He added: “We are not here to cause chaos. People are free to go in.”

The group had earlier demonstrated outside Tesco on Canal Road. And about 30 people also gathered outside McDonald’s on Ingleby Road, waving flags and banners and urging people to sound their car horns.
