A JURY has found a man guilty of murdering his wife by repeatedly hitting her over the head with a claw hammer.
Danish Irfan, 22, killed Ridda Zanab while she was in bed at their home in Alford Terrace, Lidget Green, Bradford, on November 3 last year.
A jury took just over two hours to find Irfan guilty of murder this morning.
Irfan had admitted the manslaughter of 21-year-old Mrs Zanab but denied her murder.
Following the death Irfan fled the country on a false passport but returned voluntarily in February.
Mr Justice Stuart-Smith is due to sentence at 2pm.
