A MAN who breached an anti-social behaviour order for the 15th time was given a day's detention when he appeared before Bradford and Keighley Magistrates' Court.

Mark Andrew Booth, of Blenheim Road, Manningham, admitted being in the city centre last month, despite the order being in place. Magistrates agreed that the morning spent in court waiting for the case to be heard could be taken as the detention served.

The court had heard how the 44-year-old, who suffered from alcohol problems and mental health issues, was spotted sitting quietly on a bench on Tyrrel Street by a PCSO on June 25 shortly after 6pm.

He told the officer he had no pre-arranged appointments and thought the order had expired - the two-year order is due to end on October 10 this year.

It prohibits Booth from inciting others to take part in anti-social behaviour, stops him entering the city centre without a pre-arranged appointment and prevents him from being in possession of an open bottle.
