FORMER government Secretary of State Alan Johnson is giving a talk in the district.
The West Hull and Hessle Labour MP will read from his bestselling book, This Boy, about his childhood.
He will also answer questions from the audience.
The public is invited to attend the event, at Central Hall, Alice Street, Keighley, on Friday, August 9, at 6.30pm.
"Alan is one of the most respected politicians in parliament and has a reputation as a great communicator," said Labour's prospective parliamentary candidate for Keighley, John Grogan.
"It will be an honour to be able to welcome him to one of Keighley's most impressive venues."
Tickets are £5, including tea and coffee. Under-18s are admitted free.
