A MAN was tonight charged with murdering two people found dead in Bradford and is due to appear before magistrates tomorrow.

Austin Brayford, 37, of Sawrey Place, Little Horton, is accused of killing Helen Teresa Dawson, 48, of Cornwall Place, Bradford, and Ivor Spratek, 40, of Sawrey Place.

Their bodies were found after police were called to an address in Sawrey Place on Sunday afternoon. Both were confirmed dead at the scene.

West Yorkshire Police said officers originally found Mr Spratek and later found the woman with serious injuries as they made further inquiries at the same location.

As a result of the incident, police organised 'reassurance patrols' by officers working in neighbourhood policing teams in the area.

The investigation has been led by Det Chief Insp Jim Dunkerley.

The magistrates' court appearance will be used to decide whether the suspect should be held in custody and a date may be set for his first appearance at crown court, where the case will be heard.
