A failed businessman pocketed more than £130,000 by helping a criminal gang run cannabis factories, Bradford Crown Court heard.
James Reed, 45, was jailed for 15 months in July last year after the police raided adjoining properties in Westgate Hill,Tong, Bradford, and discovered two cannabis farms.
Officers also seized documentation linking Reed to a unit on an industrial estate in Gildersome where they found a specially converted room accessed by ladders into the roof area and a trap door.
Inside that room police discovered almost 300 cannabis plants with an estimated yield of more than 11 kilograms, valued in excess of £100,000.
Reed, then living in Westgate Hill Street, said other people had provided the equipment and he was working for them because he was in debt.
He pleaded guilty to being concerned in the production of cannabis at the industrial unit, producing cannabis at the garages in Tong and abstracting electricity.
Yesterday, Judge Jonathan Rose ruled that Reed's benefit from crime was £136,000.
He made a confiscation order in the sum of £7,689, ordering that Reed go to prison for six months in default of payment.
