THE presidency of the Rotary Club of Keighley has been formally handed over.
The group staged its annual handover ceremony at the Keighley Rugby Union clubhouse, where the new president for 2014-2015, Janet Pickles, was inducted by retiring president Alan Hickman.
Janet, who lives in Skipton Road, Steeton, said she was excited and looking forward to the coming year of club activities.
She added that she intended to work on enhancing the organisation's existing links with the local community, and also hoped to build new relationships.
Her chosen local charity, which she will support during her year in office, is Yorkshire Cancer Research.
Her presidency started in style on July 6, when her club hosted a hospitality and viewing area for the Tour de France on the forecourt of a garage in Bridge Street.
