OXENHOPE Sue Ryder hospice Manorlands has received a £1,000 boost.
The cash was raised through an annual week of fundraising activities staged by the Bradford HASSRA sports club, part of the Department for Work and Pensions.
The packed programme included a raffle – with Bradford City and Liverpool football clubs and Nandos among the main supporters – a 2,500-metre swim, sports quiz, car wash and inter-office five-a-side football competition for the Toby Cup, in memory of a former colleague who died from cancer.
Carly Brunskill, Manorlands-based regional fundraiser, said: “We are so grateful to everyone at Bradford HASSRA for the hard work they put into this annual event.
"They have raised a fantastic amount, which will help the staff at Manorlands to continue providing incredible hospice care.”
