YOUNGSTERS in Silsden gathered to celebrate the centenary of their school building.
Hothfield Junior School opened in the 1970s, but its building was completed 100 years ago, when it originally housed Silsden Secondary Modern School.
Hothfield's children found about the school's history by interviewing former pupils, including two people in their 90s who were educated at this building in the 1930s.
The children then put together a presentation about what they had learned about school life over the decades.
Head teacher James Procter said: "The day was enormously positive, and really good for all involved. It was great for our pupils to have an opportunity to talk to many generations of Silsden people, and for everyone to feel a common bond as former Hothfielders.
"We had some lovely comments left in our visitors' book."
He added that the pupils wore non-uniform for the day, with some coming dressed in fashions from the last 100 years.
