Association gets tenants' finances on course

Bradford Telegraph and Argus: (7590040) (7590040)

A HOUSING association which provides homes for many of Bradford's over 55s has helped its tenants claim £2.6m in benefits.

Hanover Housing Association, which operates 17 estates in Bradford, uses a Be Wise service to provide practical help to residents to ensure they are claiming the benefits they are entitled to, as well as saving money on energy bills and having correct insurance for their homes.

It was hoped the service would reach a figure of £1m in the benefits achieved for residents but after 18 months, the figure has reached £2.6m.
