A GROUP of dog groomers have helped to boost funds for Bradford and District RSPCA.

Hailey Green and workmates Samantha Bryson and Amelia Farber, from Mucky Pups in Adel, along with schoolpal Louise Lenton-Bradley and 16 other friends, raised nearly £1,500 for the branch after embarking on the Monte Carlo or Bust Banger rally adventure.

They decked their £250 Ford Focus out as the retro Twister board game complete with a spinner on the bonnet and donned Twister outfits.

Hailey said they decided to raise money for the RSPCA's Bradford centre after touring the facilities.

Terry Singh, manager of Bradford & District RSPCA , said: "We are very pleased the girls have raised through the car rally nearly £1,500 which will be put to good use at the branch. We will use it to upgrade the clinic and isolation cat pens for the welfare of the animals."
