YOUNGSTERS at Kildwick Primary School took part in a sponsored run to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital.
The 70-plus key stage two pupils covered a kilometre-long route around the village recreation ground.
The event was organised by 10-year-old Ella Pickard, who has been helped by the hospital, and Millie Barker, nine.
"They managed to raise an amazing £500 and we're still counting!" said a school spokesman.
"A big thank-you goes to Ella and Millie for their hard work and to everyone who supported the event."
