A Bradford based riding school has been given some much needed funds from Leeds recycling group Ecokids.
Throstle Nest Riding for the Disabled Group have been taking part in a recycling programme for three years, collecting clothes, shoes and other recyclables at their site in Fagley Lane. The most recent collection raised £262 for the stable's disabled riders.
Sarah Hamilton from the RDA group said: "It is a fantastic boost to our funds to get nearly £1,000 over the course of the year from Ecokids. All the families involved in the pony club, riding school and RDA group bring us their jumble and Ecokids turn it into cash for us to spend on new equipment to make our RDA lessons more exciting."
The group are still waiting to find out if they will be forced to leave the site because of a planned 600 home development.
