POTENTIAL university students tried crime scene investigation at the latest open day for Bradford University.

Over the course of the two days visitors came across such unusual sights at Darth Vader and a Stormtrooper and a robotic spider created by the electrical engineering department walking through the campus.

One of the highlights was From Crime Scene to Court, a display highlighting the role of several different subjects in the criminal justice system, from discovering a body to gathering evidence to a successful prosecution.

There was a crime scene to show the work of forensic scientists, the law and psychology departments and even a buried skeleton that visitors excavated - highlighting forensic archaeology and anthropology.
