A MARATHON runner takes on his latest challenge today for Cancer Support Bradford & Airedale for many years, in memory of his late father, George.
Since 2010, Danny Chrisanthou has taken on various marathons and the Hadrian’s Wall Run, raising thousands of pounds.
Today is his most gruelling fundraiser yet, the biggest run in the UK - The Ultra Run.
It starts at Carlisle Castle and covers a mixed-terrain route incorporating on and off-road sections ending at the Gateshead Millennium Bridge.
There are 69 miles to be conquered in two days but Danny is joining the elite category to run it in just one day.
Charity fundraiser Linda Enderby said: “Danny is passionate about supporting the charity in his father’s memory. He’s a determined guy and with the support of his wife, Sarah, we have no doubt that he will complete this challenge.”
